Howdy Ya’ll

You may say, “Hello Everyone” but I say, “Howdy Ya’ll.” This is the way some of the people speak in the south, known to some as southern twang.

With being raised in the North Carolina mountains, my accent is really thick. Also, as a result of being exposed to the accent this area encompasses, I have learned quite  a vocabulary and want to share now my top ten words and phrases.

  1. “I aint guna do it”
  2. “Down Yonder”
  3. “Over here in na holler”
  4. “I don’t got none”
  5. “Wuldya”
  6. “Way out in na sticks”
  7. “Shes midy purdy”
  8. “Ont know”
  9. “All ya’ll”
  10. “I like ‘em taters”

Now I want to hear from you. Do you speak my language? If not, can you pick one or a couple of the phrases and translate into your language?

Social Media Love Project

Are you ever having a bad day due to daily things that may happen in life on or offline? Do you ever feel you’re not loved, wanted or thought of?

If you ever feel this way, I am here to let you know that you are loved, wanted and thought of daily. With that said, I have decided to launch a new project, Social Media Love. With a recent death due to depression and seeing others tweet about how others are putting them down in Social Media, I felt led to start a social media project that entailed love, support and value for anyone that needs it.

My mission at Social Media Love is that we come together, welcome everyone with open arms to let them know that we do care, they do matter and there is reason to push forward and move on. There are 1000′s of people daily across the world who are dying a silent death and hurting deep down inside and we will never know until the unthinkable may happen. That is why it is important that we approach others on social media with simple phrases such as “I Love You”, “How is your day”, “You are appreciated” and “Thinking of you today.” Remember it’s the little things we say in life that give us great joy and others a resource.

By coming together and creating a place with an uplifting and positive atmosphere at Social Media Love, we are giving others hope, inspiration and feeding a silent hunger. So please join me at Social Media Love on Facebook and on Twitter. Together, we can make a difference in social media.

Enjoy your Monday and God bless.

The Social Media “What If”

Sometimes in life we always ask the question, “What If.” By asking ourselves that question we put things more into perspective, basically critical thinking. As we all know Social Media is the new media and has gone global. It has changed the way we network, receive news, live our daily lives and is essential for business owners to grasp a hold of. So what if Social Media wasn’t around or didn’t exist today? I have developed a few critical thinking questions to put that question into perspective for you.

  1. What if you were limited to 10 tweets a day on twitter?
  2. What if you could only belong to 1 Social Media site? Which would it be?
  3. What if Social Media was never invented?
  4. What if you owned Twitter, Facebook, or Linkedin? What would you change?
  5. What if you never utilized Social Media? Where would you or your business be without it?

Sometimes by taking advantage of critical thinking questions we learn to love and become thankful for how things have progressed over the years. This post was designed to do just that in addition to getting your creativity flowing. Hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to leave your response to one or more of the what if questions.

Happy Thursday!
